A copper hair cuff, forged knot by knot

This isn't stamped out of a sheet of metal. It's a length of 99.9% pure red copper, bent and twisted by hand into an infinity knot, then smoothed until it sits comfortable against your hair. One person makes it, start to finish, in a small workshop in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.

And because it's hand-forged, no two are identical. The knot leans a little differently each time. That's kind of the point.

What it actually does

It holds a half-up twist, a low bun, or a thick braid. The infinity knot gives it grip without a clasp to fumble with. Copper warms up against your hair and takes on a deeper tone over months of wear — some people love that lived-in patina, some polish it back to bright. Honestly, both look good.

Honest notes before you buy

A few things worth knowing. This is solid copper, so it has a bit of weight to it — lovely for thicker hair, maybe more than very fine hair wants to carry all day. Raw copper can leave a faint green mark on skin if it gets damp; it rinses off and bothers some people not at all, others a little. And since each one is forged by hand, the piece you receive won't match the photo down to the millimeter.
