A little copper sphere with a coil at its heart

This is a copper coil sphere — a few twisted-wire rings bent into a round cage, with a tightly wound copper coil standing up through the middle. Look down from the top and the rings cross into a six-petal star, the old seed-of-life pattern. It's small, fits in your palm, and catches light from just about every angle.

The whole thing is twisted, wound, and soldered by hand in a small workshop in Ninh Bình, Vietnam. So the patina lands differently on each one — rose, gold, a bit of silver-grey. That's just raw copper being itself, and it's why no two are quite alike.

Tuned to 144 MHz

This piece is built to the 144 MHz Royal Cubit measure — the common starting point for people who work with cubit tunings. There's nothing to pick at checkout; it comes the one way, the way it's made. If the frequency side of things isn't your thing, it still works fine as a small copper object that just sits there looking good.

What people do with it

Most set it on a desk, a shelf, or an altar and leave it there. Some use it as a small centerpiece for a meditation corner, or stand a crystal point next to the coil. One customer keeps hers by the keyboard because, she says, it's the thing she reaches for when she needs a second to breathe. Fair enough.

To be clear: this is a handmade decorative and meditation piece, not a medical device. I don't claim it heals or treats anything. It's copper, wound into a shape that means something to the person who keeps it close.

Honest limitations

This is wire-built, not cast — so it's light and a little flexible, and the cage can shift if you squeeze or drop it. You can nudge it back gently, but it isn't a solid ball of metal and shouldn't be handled roughly. Raw copper also darkens over time and may leave a faint green mark if you hold it a lot; harmless, washes off, and a cloth brings the shine back. For most people it's a shelf piece more than an everyday-carry piece, and it holds up well that way.
